Soundflower, for example, is an open-source utility for Mac OS, designed to create a virtual audio output device than can also act as an input. I have Catalina 10.15.4 and even I have approved the installation, at the end I get the message. I have moved to the new MAC and installing from scratch, have been using Soundflower for years up to Mojave. Im not seeing any response in AU Lab at all. They're too busy counting all the money they just made from their iPhone 11 launch. Some people are reporting that their Mojave/Catalina installs are working with Soundflower and theyre able to record system audio. It seems that the combination doesnt seem to work any more on Mojave.

You then drag that point down so instead of amplifying it quietened that frequency.

I reported this same audio issue to the good folks at TechSmith via email THREE EFFING WEEKS AGO and I STILL HAVEN'T HEARD A WORD FROM THEM!!!!! I even posted it to the forums. Soundflower is a Mac OS X (10.2 and later) system extension that allows applications to. 9:57:06.995: coreaudio: device 'Soundflower (2ch)' initialized 19:57:07.202: Video Capture Device: Could not initialize device with unique ID '0x14120000046d0892' The log says you've got Soundflower audio, but I can't tell from the log whether it's actually your system output, or if you've flagged this as input or output (virtual devices do both). It showed by amplifying the notch first you could drag the frequency up and down the frequency range and it would amplify the hum when you found the frequency it was at.
Some people are reporting that their Mojave/Catalina installs are working with Soundflower and they're able to record system audio. Oh and if you're thinking, "Hey I remember something about SoundFlower, that open source thing, that used to work!". Something Apple did when they 'updated' the OS broke what used to work. This is an Apple Mojave and Catalina issue. And setting the system security to allow Camtasia or any other app the security to do X isn't working either. If not checked, files/folders of the remote Mac will not be. Now, it needs to be checked to use File Transfer on 10.15. Full Disk Access (affects file transfer) The option is available on macOS 10.14 Mojave but does not need to be checked. Most, if not all system audio recording apps are having the same problem. For new streamer installs on 10.15, this setting needs to be checked so remote control is enabled.
